for the IMS
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am excited to invite you to attend our fall parent conferences, which will take place Wednesday, November 14th and Thursday, November 15th, 2018. Parents will be able to sign up in advance for an 8-minute conference with each of their children’s team teachers including Enrichment, Acceleration, World Language, and Elective Area teachers. The purpose is to get a brief update on how your student is doing in each class. Parents who wish to have a longer session with their student’s team of teachers should contact the team leader to request a separate meeting. You can begin signing up for conferences now. To sign up, please click here; the password for Illing is rams.  You will need to enter your student’s 5 digit student ID and verify his or her birthday. You will then be allowed to select the teachers. Please remember to select only teachers with whom you wish to meet. Once you have selected the teachers, you will be able to select times. If you have any questions, please contact me.

We want the voices of our students and parents to be included in this work. If you are interested in participating, please contact Ms. Ashley Okwuazi at
We have updated our guidelines for backpacks and cell phone use  to ensure that we maximize instructional time and foster a safe environment. Please see this link to become familiarized with student expectations and acknowledge receiving these.
Your support in reviewing and discussing the importance of these guidelines with your child is greatly appreciated!

The Illing Science Department has been working collaboratively to implement the new national science standards called Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). After a year of working with these new standards, understanding them in detail, and applying the newest research-based teaching approaches, it is time to start creating daily lessons and activities. Our team of science teachers are filled with great ideas and enthusiasm to get this process started. Read more.
